When performing operations in or near water, amphibious aircraft are useful due to their water takeoff and landing abilities. Amphibious aircraft may range in their features, such as some having reinforced keels to land on snow or aircraft that have retractable wheels for when they land in water. At ASAP Aerospace, we carry a wide variety of premium aerospace parts, components, and systems for a variety of amphibious aircraft, including those such as the de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver, Grumman HU-16 Albatross, and the Bombardier 415.

The DHC-2 Beaver is a short takeoff and landing (STOL) utility transport aircraft that was manufactured by de Havilland Canada. Over its years of production between 1947 and 1967, 1,657 units were produced. Across its users, the DHC-2 Beaver has seen use for civil aviation, cargo and passenger transportation, crop dusting, aerial topdressing, and other utility roles. The aircraft has also been employed for combat roles, such as 9 units that are still in service under the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary for search and rescue operations.

The Grumman HU-16 Albatross is an air-sea rescue flying boat designed and developed by Grumman. Introduced in 1949, the HU-16 Albatross had a production run until 1961, in which it was retired after 466 units were built. The Albatross was specifically designed for rescues in the open ocean, and it was used by entities such as the United States Air Force, United States Coast Guard, United States Navy, and the Hellenic Navy.

The Bombardier 415, previously called the Canadair CL-415 and Superscooper, is an amphibious water bomber that was originally built by Canadair and currently produced by Bombardier. The Bombardier 415 is designed to serve as an aerial firefighter, though it may also perform search and rescue and utility transportation operations. Ending production in 2015, 95 units were produced which are currently used by operators such as Vigili del Fuoco, Sécurité Civile, Hellenic Air Force, and the Government of Quebec.
