About Eldec Corporation
Eldec Corporation’s story began with founder Richard Teller Crane, who started the Crane Company in 1855. It became a holding company with aerospace & electronics, engineered materials , payment and merchandising technology, fluid handling, and controls as their business segments. The Eldec Company was founded in 1957 and in 1999, Eldec and fellow industry leaders, Lear Romec, Hydro-Aire and Interpoint, formed Crane Aerospace, which eventually transitioned to Crane Aerospace & Electronics in 2003 when Signal Technology was added to the fold.
