The F-15 Silent Eagle was a planned fighter jet designed and manufactured by Boeing. Its demonstrator version was produced 2010 and had a base price of 105 million dollars USD. The Silent Eagle was intended to be an upgraded version of the F-15E Strike Eagle with advanced stealth features such as internal weapons carriage and radar-absorbent materials. It was designed to use fifth-generation fighter technology to significantly reduce its radar cross-section. Its stealth capabilities were optimized for air-to-air missions (against X-band radars) and were less effective against ground radars which use other frequencies. In addition to its internal weapons carriage, it was able to accommodate multiple hardpoints under each wing. It was launched for international sales in 2009, intended for F-15 users such as Israel, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and South Korea, but production was eventually cancelled.

The F-15 Silent Eagle was powered by two Pratt & Whitney F100-229 engines that provided 29,000 pounds of force. These engines allowed the aircraft to travel at a top speed of 1,434 knots (1,650 mph) for a maximum range of 2,100 nautical miles. Its rate of climb was 50,000 feet per minute and the Silent Eagle had a service ceiling of 60,000 feet. The aircraft had a fuel tank capacity of 1,960 gallons and a fuel economy of 1.07 nautical miles per gallon. For its avionics, the Silent Eagle utilizes the Hughes Aircraft APG-82 active electronically scanned array radar system.

The F-15 Silent Eagle was designed and developed by Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), the defense and aerospace products and services division of Boeing. BDS was formed in 2002 after Boeing combined their Military Aircraft and Missile Systems & Space and Communication divisions. Boeing is the second-largest defense contractor in the world and BDS is responsible for nearly half of the company’s annual income.
