The Husky is a light utility aircraft designed by Christen Industries and produced by Aviat. Introduced in 1987, the Aviat Husky has had over 650 units produced up to the present. The Husky is one of the only models within its class that was designed with CAD software, and it remains one of the top selling light aircraft designs in its period. The aircraft has tandem seating and dual controls, allowing for one pilot and one passenger. Across all users, the Husky has been operated for observation, pipeline inspection, patrolling of fisheries, border patrol, glider towing, and other such applications. While many users are private, entities such as the US Department of the Interior and Agriculture and the Kenya Wildlife Service have both employed the Aviat Husky for their operations.
