The PA-23 Aztec, previously known as the Apache, is a twin engined light piston utility aircraft that was manufactured by Piper Aircraft from 1952 to 1981. Over the years of manufacturing, 6,976 units were produced and delivered to a variety of military operators, including those such as the United States, Spain, Argentina, Mexico, and many others. The Aztec serves as an upgraded version of the Apache, bringing an increased horsepower capability with new engines and a swept vertical tail.
